Pete Travis is a British filmmaker and television director. He was born on June 4, 1969, in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. He started his career as a documentary filmmaker, working for BBC, Channel 4, and HBO. Some of his notable documentary works include "The Jury," "The Hamburg Cell," and "Omagh."

In 2008, Travis made his feature film debut with the sci-fi action film "Vantage Point," starring Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, and Matthew Fox. He also directed the comic book adaptation "Dredd" in 2012, which received positive reviews from both fans and critics.

Travis has also directed numerous television dramas, including episodes of the hit HBO series "Rome," "The Bill," "Cold Feet," "The Jury," and "The Fear."
